A FARM FOR DIFFERENTLY-ABLED FARMERS

A FARM FOR DIFFERENTLY-ABLED FARMERS

From Nancy Bernotaitis

"All we need is a million people with $1!" said my entrepreneurial son. And he's right! If you have $1 (or more to invest), you can help us build a farm community for the differently-abled where everyone belongs.

When Sean came home from his first day of Good Works Farm Summer Camp, he told his mom "I have found my people."  You see, Sean is a differently-abled camper, but for the first time, he felt completely accepted for who he is.  I'm Nancy, the Founder and CEO of Good Works Farm, and since 2015, we've offered an inclusive summer camp for those with cognitive differences and their typical siblings on a 5-acre farm we lease.  As our services grow to include day support and vocational training for differently-abled adults, as well as neuro-diverse housing and micro-enterprises, and expanded day camps for ages 5 and up, we need a bigger space of our own.  All the money raised will be used to purchase the farm that Good Works Farm will call home. Thank you for your investment into their future.  God bless.

For we are all created in Christ Jesus to do good works; which He has planned, in advance, for us to do.  Eph. 2:10

We believe everyone, including those with challenges, have good works to do, they simply need the right supports.  Our goal is to provide those supports.  Living and working on a self-sustainable farmstead provides a multitude of opportunities for meaningful work, vocational education, social interaction, recreation, and a life surrounded by a support system of friends and family.

Matthew 25:40 NIV "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
