I am in need of help during rehabilitation for upoming surgery. My SS $1100 my only income is only half of my monthly expenses and will not be able to work during recovery to earn extra money needed for monthly expenses.

I am 71 years old and live alone. My only income is Social Security in the amount of 1,100 monthly which barely covers even half of my monthly expenses. Utility expenses are high due to extreme cold in winter to extreme heat during the summer. I have worked a part-time job in the past that has helped me to handle the amount of money needed to live by' but I am not able to work at this time. I am looking at knee replacement surgeries and rehab for these procedures.
