I live alone. Last night, I was attacked by someone who had broke into my apartment. I suffered two black eyes, a gash in my head, multiple bruises. I need help until I can return to work as a hospice caregiver.

On New Years eve 2023, I came home around 9:30 from a dinner engagement. I opened the front door (which wasn't locked) and as I shut the door, a man who was hiding behind the door attacked me. It appeared I had interrupted a robbery . I was then silenced and sexually and physically assaulted causing many wounds. I blacked out and have little recollection of the assault. When I finally came to and realized that something bad had happened, I immediately called my best friend who the took me to the ER where a rape kit was performed and s few sutures required in my private area. Everything is still fuzzy. This person was able to take most of everything worth value including the rent which I was planning to pay on the second of January when the office was open again. Now I cannot pay any bills nor work due to my physical presence and anxiety .I recently have enrolled into an online college in hopes of earning a BA in criminal forensics. This will not be possible if I'm homeless. I am a decent lady, no drugs or felonies and was very energetic. Please help, this is so embarrassing asking for help. Thank you and God bless.
