Certification Funding for Veteran

More Info

I recently separated from the military earlier this year and in about 2 weeks, I will be unemployed for 8 months. The job search has been brutal this year. I attended a job fair over a month ago where I came across a great opportunity to start a new career as a medical coder. The great thing about this particular program is it allows someone like me, with no experience, to enter the industry. At this time the course does not accept the GI Bill and I have exhausted all other avenues of funding. Normally I would just move on; however, I really would like to do this particular course because I am in need of a job and it has great growth potential.  It's rare that you get a certification and job placement is a high possibility (nothing is 100%), but that is what this training offers. The company is a staffing agency and they realized that there is a shortage of medical coders, which led them to organize their own training program. My mom always said, "You have not, because you ask not." Well today I am asking for any help that you can provide (even if it's providing additional funding options).

Thank you,

Merian
