“DANCE in MANILA” is a musical feature film project to be filmed in the Philippines, to show stunning Filipinas dancing on upbeat hit songs thematically pertinent to the locations, clothing and costumes. The film is to present beautiful and unique scenery in the Philippines from the sand dunes in La Paz, beaches in El Nido, karstic rock formations in Coron, an antic Spanish heritage street in Vigan, a rock bar from the 60s in Manila, a cave in Callao and more. A host and talents will showcase dance moves in 20 sketches filmed and transitioned from one iconic spot to the next. Each sketch is to feature a breathtaking landscape, the host and beautiful models dancing in sync on funky/jazz hit songs from the 70's to display their unspoken words in harmony with the beauty of the landscape and their choreography.
The $30,000 funding will start the development stage of the film, produce demo reels of the models, and support further funding for the production.
