SimplyBe Coffee is Coffee with a Cause - employing amazing individuals with a special need or a disability.
As a nonprofit under the umbrella of Tree of Life Ministries, we rely on grants and incredible donors to bridge the gap between our coffee sales and our operating costs. We still have a gap in our funding and need your help to sustain SimplyBe Coffee in Leesburg.
We have launched a campaign to raise $100,000. Every dollar donated will help keep our staff members employed.

Our Story
As a gospel enterprise of Tree of Life Ministries, SimplyBe Coffee shares a common purpose – to reach out to the poor and needy in our community with the love of Jesus Christ. Our unique coffee shop was developed as an extension of our special needs programs specifically to offer workplace and internship opportunities for this special group of people. We are Coffee with a Cause!
Staff Development
The job skills obtained by SimplyBe Coffee staff may be used in a variety of employment settings as well as daily life. Customer service, greeting and engaging customers in a friendly manner, is our primary focus. Developing such social skills greatly increases staff members’ ability and confidence to communicate with the wider world, something highly valued by their families and caregivers. Emma has learned our customers’ names and makes them feel so special when she greets them by name!
Operating the register is a task that requires a variety of proficiencies such as reading, math, and fine motor skills. At SimplyBe Coffee, we use a special register system that uses larger fonts and photos to simplify operation. Lisa loves to use the cash register and has greatly improved her speed in a short time. Another task involved in operating the register is punching loyalty cards. This seemingly small task further develops fine motor skills and is one of Max’s favorite things to do!
Our staff are certainly the heart of the coffee shop. Thank you so much for considering to donate to SimplyBe Coffee!

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: Max
Max is a man of many talents! He has mastered tasks like dishwashing, sanitizing, order fulfillment and taking orders! Taking orders at the register has quickly become one of his favorite jobs at SimplyBe Coffee along with making drinks as a Barista! Did we mention Max is also an amazing magician?! He wows us all the time with his fantastic tricks! Max loves SimplyBe because of the fun environment, and because he can provide to the community. Stop by and meet Max, and you might be lucky enough for him to show you a magic trick too!

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: JD
JD is filled with joy, kindness, and a lot of fun too! He is very friendly and loves the social parts of his job including, greeting customers, taking their orders, and hand-delivering their drinks to them! He also loves to say ‘Good Morning’ to all of his friends at SimplyBe Coffee when he arrives to work. We can’t leave out the many talents and passions of JD like his groovy dance moves and his love for music! JD is an awesome part of SimplyBe Coffee - we are so grateful for his excitement and passion for people!
