My bestest furry friend Piper was recently diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma, which is cancer of the spleen. I tried to get pet insurance for her but since she was already symptomatic, it was a preexisting condition.

If you know me, you know my best friend Piper too. My favorite fur baby was recently diagnosed with cancer in her spleen and lymph nodes. I'm going to get her all the best treatment I can, and hopefully we will still get a few more years with her, but it's going to be very expensive - I've spent over $1500 so far just on diagnostic tests, and the actual treatment hasn't even begun. I'm going to need to pay for ongoing medication as well as specialist visits with a dog oncologist. I actually tried to sign up for pet insurance before she was diagnosed, but unfortunately was denied because she had been throwing up before my policy began so the cancer was deemed a preexisting condition, so I'm on my own to pay these bills.
The goal I set is based on recovering the money I've already spent over the past month on tests, as well as raising extra to help with her ongoing care.
I've had Piper for 6 years and I love her more than anything. Any help you can give me to make it easier to afford her care is hugely appreciated.
