I’m asking for your help to get a computer that can run the software I need to work from home and get back on my feet.

Dear Friends,

I am reaching out for assistance in a difficult time. Recently, I was an innocent bystander in an assault that left me with significant injuries - multiple broken facial bones requiring reconstructive surgery, as well as back injuries affecting my C3 to C7 vertebrae. I have attached some photos and medical reports to show you the extent of my injuries.

After two painful months of recovery and being unable to work, I find myself struggling financially. To get back on my feet, I would like to pursue freelance audio and video production, as I have experience in this field and I can work from home. This would allow me to build a portfolio and move toward full-time work.

Unfortunately, when I loaded the necessary software onto my outdated laptop, the programs crashed. I cannot afford the upgrades needed to run this software on my current computer. I contacted Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) seeking help to acquire a suitable computer, but they are unable to assist with this specific need.

I am hoping friends and community members might be willing to help. I aim to raise $ 2500 to purchase a computer that will reliably operate the audio and video editing programs. With the right basic tools, I can get to work piecing together my livelihood. Any contribution you can make would go a long way toward helping me regain financial and personal independence.

Thank you sincerely for taking the time to consider my request. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Gratefully,

Sean
