Update #5

Hey folks!

Had a computer emergency a few days ago and sadly put us back a lil on funds. We will survive but if a few folks wanna give $5-20 (or more if capitalism allows u) to help partially recoup the costs that would be swell.

I am getting thru this period of couch surfing ok which hopefully will not be that longer. *Fingers crossed* Regardless more funds people are able to give sets up more savings for us to be able to figure what Plan B will be if that is required.

Thank you all so much for continued support, if you could share and/or give I would appreciate it!

More Info

Hello!

We are both trans women who unemployed, so we desperately need your help!  Aimy was recently accepted to UC Santa Cruz, so with your help, we are hoping to move together in the fall. Folks have given about $5000 on our last online campaign but between multiple trips to Santa Cruz to no avail & paying for basic necessities a portion of those resources have depleted.  So we are asking for another $5000 here to recoup losses as well as shore up more savings.

Aimy and I met in a community of survivors of a fundamentalist university, and after she came out to her parents and became homeless herself we became roommates. We've worked together on healing the psychological wounds we both have from our old school and upbringing, becoming close friends and sisters. I'm really excited about Aimy getting accepted to UCSC, and want to continue to support her as she moves on to finish her degree. Any gift is appreciated, no matter the amount. Even if you can't donate yourself, please help share this around.  We recently had a housing opportunity fall thru so now more than ever we need your help!

PS - Not only will giving get us to Santa Cruz, find housing, and give us support until we find employment but hopefully this will also help in trans related medical & legal expenses.

Note: This is a continuation of our fundraising from here: http://www.gofundme.com/a62swg

We don't support GoFundMe and/or the cop who killed Michael Brown. Which is why we are now with Fundly and not GoFundMe

Update #4

Hey everyone,

It's Maddie again. I just wanna thank all the folks who gave varying amounts totaling in about $265. It was really a big help. Unfortunately we still need a lil more to get through the next couple weeks. I am now officially homeless, but thankfully able to couch surf for the time being. But I have not been renewed for food stamps yet (idk if they will be kinda up in the air) and most of that $ has been eaten up by a variety of expenses. Thankfully some money is coming in soon but that may be a few more weeks and I have less than $10 in my account. Soo if you could give and we could raise maybe like $150 via a bunch of donations that would be really helpful. Just need this tiny bit. I will say if you live locally either giving here or in person (this may be easier if you live locally for me, less lag waiting for donations to process). At the moment I am only eating and have a place to sleep from generosity of friends...so if you could share and/or give it would really help. Thx and hope you are all well and have a lovely weekend!

Update #3

Hey Everyone!

Maddie here. As much as I hate to post this update, sadly we are looking for housing again and despite a little help financially the time is of the essence and we need as much funds as we can get. Aimy thankfully will be able to find housing on campus, but I am going to need to couch surf for a few months roughly from March 31st to about June 8 or 9. There are a lotta reasons I can't go into of why housing was not a good fit and didn't work out. Our resources are being stretched to the maximum and besides just getting thru these months there are def some debts and other things that need to be taken care of. Please give even just $5 and/or at least share.

We are in Santa Cruz, but still need help!

Hey folks! We made it up to Santa Cruz and are finally getting all the way settled. We def still need your help tho. Gotta figure out Oct. rent & we are a decent amount short. We are looking for jobs but if we get them tomorrow still won't have enough in time for rent. If you can share and maybe give to help us get on our feet!
