Jaimee Needs Help

Long haul is generally respiratory or neurological. Jaimee has neurological long haul and her doctor compared it to brain damage. When Jaimee is having an episode she experiences mainly brain fog, dizziness, and fatigue. She must walk with a cane and often finds that she will go from fine to not fine in mere minutes. Jaimee needs some help. Near the beginning of the pandemic, like many of us, Jaimee came down with a case of Covid, likely caught through her work as a nurse. But unlike many of us, Jaimee did not come out of it unscathed. Jaimee developed Long Haul Covid which has affected her neurologically. Her doctor has compared it to her having brain damage. While Jaimee can function for the most part, she has good and bad days. During her bad days, she can’t work. Lately, she’s had to take a leave of absence from work as she’s having a particularly bad episode of long haul. Jaimee will be trying to qualify for disability but until then she needs help paying her bills.
Jaimee has custody of her two children aged 10 & 15 and while their father helps her financially, he lives in Ohio and works for Chrysler and is currently on strike. Hopefully, both she and her ex will be back to work soon but there’s no telling how long it’ll take for either and meanwhile, bills need to be paid.
Jaimee and her children recently moved from a three-bedroom house to a two-bedroom apartment and has had issues with her landlord who may be requiring her to move from an upper-floor apartment to a basement unit because her downstairs neighbors have complained of the noise above them. Jaimee is not physically able to move and needs to hire movers so some of the money collected may be used for moving. Otherwise, it will be used for rent, food, and utilities.
