About The Team

When I consider mental health, I think of how we cope with the ups and downs of life. Genetics, the environment, childhood trauma, stressful events in life and unhealthy habits and poor like choices can contribute to mental fragility and mental illness.

Recently, I was involved in a college Parent’s Council, where we learned a lot about the anxiety epidemic of teens and young adults. This was even before COVID. I have several people very close to me who I love very much who struggle with mental health issues. Fortunately, they have sought out the help of therapists and worked to replace unhealthy habits with healthy ones. They have also started gotten over the “stigma” and began sharing their challenges more freely, so they can receive affirmation and support.

Knowing the challenges that our fathers and families face it is very easy for me to campaign for mental health support!

More Info

As COVID-19 continues, the importance of mental health remains vital. Statistics show that 57% of men who have mental health issues are fathers. That is why our team is looking to raise $7,000 for mental health that will ultimately add to the well being of our fathers and their families. By taking care of their mental health, our fathers will be able to improve their relationships with their families and be able to have the right mindset to achieve their personal goals. Statistics also show that nearly 20% of new dads are diagnosed with an anxiety disorder when a new baby arrives.  It is important that we put a focus on mental health to raise awareness and show the importance of getting help when experiencing mental health issues.
