My precious baby boy was diagnosed with FIP(Feline infectious peritonitis) which is cat form of COVID and the vet recommended euthanasia in the next 24-48 hours. She said he may live a week if I am lucky. He is diagnosed with dry ocular FIP which is into the brain stem and attacking his body rapidly, this can be extremely fatal in a matter of days. There hasn’t been much research for a cure, but in the last couple of years there is a medication that has a 90% success rate of cureing them but the clock is ticking very fast for him and the treatment is quite expensive. It is an 84 day treatment, one shot or pill of the medication every day for the full 84 days. Then throughout treatment I'll have to go to the vet for bloodwork and wellness checks. My boy is only 2 years old and still has a full life to live. This cat has been an emotional support for me dealing with my own health issues and working from home so he is my everything. (My husband and daughter get jealous of him lol). Because of my MS I cannot have any more children so he has truely filled that void of not being able to have more kids.
I won’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t at least try. Any little bit helps, All funds raised will immediately and directly go towards getting this medication needed to give him a fighting chance at beating this thing and giving him a chance. I can’t imagine losing my baby boy. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever dealt with, and it all happened so quickly that there is nothing else for me to do but ask for help.
