Transnational Christian School has been operating as an accredited ACSI international school going into our fourth school year. Our students are in the U.S., Dominican Republic and in the south of Haiti. (Most of our students are orphans from Haiti.) Education in Haiti has been declining since 2018 due to the best educators migrating to other countries for safety reasons. In summary, gang-related crimes have caused schools to be closed for more than half of the school year. Nevertheless, through our online educational approach, we are reaching students where they are and monitoring their learning daily (classwork, assessments and daily attendance). Hence, the students are assigned a learning coach that monitors their classwork and attendance regularly. Our school year is for a duration of 180 days and our students don’t have to deal with the pressure caused by gang-related activities.
