Hazelbrook Community Center stands as the preeminent recovery resource hub in the state of Colorado, a unique non-profit based in Aurora with a broad reach extending across the entire state. Founded and nurtured by a dedicated group immersed in the Colorado recovery movement, our mission is to provide a lifeline of support to individuals navigating the challenging journey to sobriety, with a special focus on those who were formerly incarcerated.

Our Commitment: We are committed to addressing the intricate and multifaceted challenges individuals face on their path to recovery. Through a comprehensive suite of programs and services, including the Transitional Safety Zone [TSZ] program, life skill classes, performing and visual arts classes, fitness offerings, and peer coaching services, Hazelbrook Community Center strives to be a beacon of hope and transformation.

Expanding Services: Looking towards the future, Hazelbrook is dedicated to expanding its reach and impact. Our vision includes the introduction of same-day support through peer navigators and onsite case management, focusing on essential needs such as housing, re-entry, jobs, transport, and more. The upcoming REAL center (Resources, Education and Learning) classroom will further enhance our ability to support individuals seeking employment, offering online access, printing capabilities, and serving as a central location for AA and other recovery meetings. Additionally, it will be the home of our new Peer Recovery Coach Certification through the innovative ParadigmONE educational program.

Serving the Formerly Incarcerated: Recognizing the unique challenges faced by those who were formerly incarcerated, Hazelbrook Community Center is dedicated to providing tailored support to ensure a successful re-entry into society. Our programs are designed to address the specific needs of this population, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment on their journey to recovery.
