As my husband was searching online for investing in gold he was contacted by someone wanting us to invest with them. Looking back now we were totally stupid in our decision to do this. It sounded legitimate and we researched the companies (MetaTrader 5 and First Prudential) and they were reputable. We took our savings and retirement funds and invested. We had great gains and then were told that it was getting too volatile and we should stop. So we went to withdraw our money and were told that we had to pay a 100k fine (that we would get back) to be able to withdraw our money. Should have been a red flag but the person we were interacting with seemed genuine. We have never been in this bind before. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
