Service Dog Training

Service Dog Training

From Mila Oborenko

I am a student who has been suffering from severe PTSD. I started training a new dog to be my service animal, I found a program that would be willing to help me train her, however, I do not have the money for it.

The story of Pecora and I.

I have recently moved from Europe (Latvia) to the US. For many years now, since I was 10, I have been suffering from PTSD and other mental side effects that have affected my life more and more. With the change in this effect, it was clear that I will not be able to do this alone. I got a new pup and started training her as my service dog. Though I did have some help in Latvia, with the move to the US it has become way harder to find someone willing to aid me for a price that I can somewhat afford. I have saved up a little bit of money, but I still do not have the amount needed for her training. I am worried about not giving her the time and training she needs, as well as, my condition is not getting any better which often hinders my ability to help her train.

I am a college student and work multiple jobs to try and save up for her, but my strengths are reaching their limits. I did not want to start a campaign originally, but people have convinced me to try it out, as I do need help.

I will appreciate any donation given, as this cause is very important to me and my dog. I cannot promise any benefit, so I am very sorry for that.

Thank you for reading this far. I truly appreciate it.
