With a heartfelt plea, I’m asking for financial assistance to support my decision to homeschool my two girls. As a mother who is extremely concerned about the safety of her kids when in public schools, as well as the state of the education system and the impact it could have on them. I have made the difficult but necessary choice to withdraw them from public school to protect them from what I believe is a corrupt, dangerous and potentially brainwashing environment. This decision was not easy, Ive spent MANY hours researching information. In my research I discovered that the public education system is facing major problems related to funding, standardized testing, violence, and inequality to name just a few. This can greatly impact the quality of our kids' education and success. Studies show that standardized testing, which is now mandatory, is causing our kids to focus only on passing these tests and our teachers to only teach what is needed to pass the test. This undermines our children's critical thinking skills, creativity, and overall academic growth. Kids are also dealing with fear and anxiety about going to school due to the amount of violence and shootings that have recently become a disturbingly common occurrence. I am not OK with this. What our kids need is a well-rounded and holistic approach to learning. So, as a mother that will do whatever it takes to protect her children and give them both a fair chance to succeed. I will personally take on the responsibility of the teacher. I will begin homeschooling them as soon as I am able to, legally and financially. I will commit to creating a personal lesson plan for each of my girls that suits their individual needs and learning styles. Research shows that kids that are homeschooled often outperform kids in public schools academically and are more likely to become successful adults. Unfortunately, I'm a single mother and making this happen comes with financial issues. In order to dedicate my time and attention fully to my kids' education and protect them from what I feel is a harmful system, I will need to leave my full time job and rely on my side job making and selling candles and crafts that i make in my spare time, as well as external support to cover the costs and expenses associated with homeschooling which includes workbooks, up to date computers or tablets, educational software, courses and workshops to help me with teaching, testing fees, lunches, learning materials, extracurricular activities and so on. I am turning to you in the hopes that you can help me provide my daughters with a safe and rewarding educational journey that aligns with my values and beliefs. Your support would not only ease the financial burdens that homeschooling will bring me but also enable me to give my children the gift of an education that nurtures their minds, spirits, and individuality.
