Support Tia Linda: Keep Familia Together

I'm Oscar, my tío recently was detained wrongly for in Weatherford, Texas when he acted in self-defense as three men pinned him down. His granddaughter cried as he saw her abuelo on the ground battered and bloody from the assault. Two of the men had held my great uncle as another punched him and when they had him pinned on the ground he didn't know who all was kicking him as he acted quickly to save himself. To make matters worse, mi tío also has a ICE Detainer along with a charge that is failing to recognize that he was a victim in this scenario.

Because of this my tía Linda is left alone to figure out all the pieces to get my tío out of jail and has to consider taking on another part-time job to make ends meet. Some of our family members are supporting her as best we can but we need your help.

I live in NC and have been trying to help from afar to find attorneys that can help. My uncle and aunt have an ongoing immigration case so costs are quickly piling on not to mention the general living costs my tía has as well. My tía Linda is close to her entering her 60s and shouldn't have to bear this additional burden when her husband was the one assaulted. 

I've been trying to help figure out an legal support for my great aunt and uncle. The quotes are in the $15,000s. This money will be going to helping my tía keep her home together when the justice system and immigration system are working against her to separate her familia. She's facing many struggles outside of figuring solutions for my uncle. 

Please, help us raise money so that my tía Linda can have the support needed to keep moving forward in this challenging point of her familia's life. They're a working-class family that does as much as possible to move forward but times like these we need our comunidad (community) to lift each other up. 

Money will go to my tía to use for housing costs, immigration attorney fees, food costs to help take care of grandchildren that live with my tía and tío before he was taken into custody, and other general expenses that will help my tía and her familia keep going.

Soy Oscar, recientemente mi tío fue detenido injustamente en Weatherford, Texas, cuando actuó en defensa propia mientras tres hombres lo golpeaban. Su nieta lloraba al ver a su abuelo en el suelo golpeado y ensangrentado por la agresión. Dos de los hombres agarraron a mi tío mientras otro lo golpeaba, y cuando lo tenían sujetado en el suelo, él no sabía quién más lo estaba golpeando mientras actuaba rápidamente para salvarse. Para empeorar las cosas, ahora mi tío también tiene una retención de ICE además del cargo, lo cual no reconoce que él fue una víctima en este situacion.

Debido a esto, mi tía Linda quedo sola para resolver todas las piezas para sacar a mi tío de la cárcel y tiene que considerar tomar otro trabajo encima de todo esto por los gastos que se acumulan. Algunos de nuestros familiares la están apoyando lo mejor que podemos, pero necesitamos tu ayuda.

Vivo en Carolina del Norte y he estado tratando de ayudar a distancia para encontrar abogados que puedan ayudar. Mi tío y tía tienen un caso de inmigración, que agrega aun mas gasto y los costos se están acumulando rápidamente, sin mencionar los costos generales de vida que también tiene mi tía. Mi tía Linda tiene casi 60 años y no debería tener que soportar esta carga adicional cuando su esposo fue el agredido.

He estado ayudando a encontrar un abogado para ayudar a mi tío con cotizaciones que van hasta los $15,000. Mi tía necesita apoyo mientras trabaja para mantener unida a su familia cuando el sistema de justicia y el sistema de inmigración están en su contra para separar su familia.
