Whitney Cline fundraising for Please help me get back to the only place that felt close to Home.

More Info

Thank you for taking the time to read this, that alone means a lot to me.

My name is Whitney & I currently live in Philadelphia, Pa. I have been here for 4 years and have unsuccessfully found my place. I am miserable here to be quite honest. I am origanally from west coast, most of my younger years were spent in northern California and in the Portland, Ore. area. I do not come from a background that is well off or of easy living. I feel like I am struggling most now out here, out of my element. I yearn so much to return to the only place Ive ever felt close to Home. I do not have family that live in Oregon but I feel that is where I have thrived & regret leaving.

   I have never been one to ask for help but have always been told its ok to do so when you really are in need. I have put all of my energy into finding my way back Home. I have asked my family & friends for their support & unfortunately not many can offer much of financial support, tho they are working hard to help find solutions & help me plan this out most effeciantly. I already have a new address, I figured if I secured my home first it would remove the stress of looking after I arrive. Doing so also encourages to move fast and not to lose hope. Here I will add that I am on SSDI [disability] and am on a limited fixed income, which is tough for saving money to do this move by my own means. Once I am back in Portland, I will be able to continue the proper medical treatment I need, find a part-time job & be able to live in a community I feel that I fit in & belong to. Its so very important to feel like you fit in with your community.

   My plan thus far; As I am traveling with 2 cats (I refuse to give up my cats, they mean too much to me) & keeping minimal furniture, we figured out that renting a trailer & attacking a hitch to my little car would be best option. I will be driving from Philadelphia, Pa. to Portland, Or. A family friend has prepared me route from 'trucker maps' to avoid any steep inclines as to not burn out my clutch and reduce auto mechanical risks. My mother and her boyfriend will travel 6 hours south of their location to meet me at my midway point in Illinois & offered to get my car looked over there and ensure my car will make it the rest of the way. There is a possibility of a friend from Portland flying in at this point to drive with me the rest of the way. I will have roadside assistance through my insurance. As mentioned before I have already taken care of securing my new address.

   I realize I am cutting it close on time to prepare. I am humbly asking for your help. It would mean so much to me if you can assist on helping me get to where I belong so I may feel I have the freedom to live the quality of life I truly deserve.

My estimated costs that I have calculated so far;

$902 Uhaul trailer & hitch [quoted]

$1,500 Fuel costs [fuel calculators]

$500 Lodging & food [Ill be using priceline app for cheap hotels]

I appreciate you taking the time to read this.

I am so grateful to everyone out there who is willing to help me in my time of need.

Thank you, Bless you.

Whitney C.
